Washington, D.C. — U.S. Senators Ted Budd (R-N.C.) and Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) today announced their support for the nomination of Dan Bishop, former U.S. Congressman and Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget, to become the Senate-confirmed U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina.
“Dan Bishop is an experienced America First patriot with a distinguished private sector legal career, making him an excellent choice to serve as the next U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina. I have no doubt that under Dan’s leadership, communities in North Carolina will be safer, as he will execute the safer streets priorities I share with President Trump to prosecute dangerous criminals, enforce federal immigration law, hold drug cartels accountable, combat the evils of human trafficking, and boldly stand up for law enforcement. President Trump has made a strong choice in nominating him to serve North Carolinians in this new capacity, and I look forward to joining Senator Tillis in supporting his nomination in the Senate,” said Senator Budd.
“Dan Bishop is an experienced litigator with a deep understanding of the law and a commitment to the safety of our communities. Having served North Carolina at the local, state, and federal levels, he brings a unique and valuable perspective to the Middle District and I look forward to supporting his confirmation as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee,” said Senator Tillis.
